1 Vision is presenting a whole new way of interacting with AI and the world. But do not worry, Aware AI will learn your gestures and intentions, not you learning how to use this new interface.

1. Technology Benchmark
By looking into technologies only offered in small quantities or not yet available to the general public, I can gauge what features and form factors would be feasible and ready for its prime time when the product I am designing is aiming to launch.
Meta RayBan
Even Realities G1
Tobii Pro
Meta RayBan is a smart glass by meta with the colaboration of RayBan catching both style and technology.
It is equipped with wide angle camera, speakers, and microphones so users can talk to Meta's AI assistant.
Tobii pro is a glasses with eye tracking sensors. It demonstrates the feasibility of eye tracking within a small form factor.
Tracking the user's eye movement is an ideal input method alongside the microphone.
G1 is a great benchmark for the current state of projection technology for smart glasses.
It utilizes the internal refractions of the lens so the projector is not exposed and projection is hardly visible from the other side of the lens.

Apple Vision Pro
Meta RayBan shows a glimpse of the future where AI enabled AR glasses can actively assist you.
It is equipped with multiple sensors, and, an AR display lens but it is still a prototype.
Apple Vision Pro utilizes eye tracking as a primary input method for its interface.
This is another example of how eye tracking will be the preferred way of input for the head mounted AR/VR devices.
Orion wristband is a device that can read the hand and finger movement.
It demonstrates the potential of gesture based user interface for smart glasses.

2. Market Benchmark
When it comes to glasses it is more than just a tech gadget, they are a fashion statement, a crucial piece for first impression. So while 1Vision is a smart glasses, I benchmarked it with other 'nonsmart' glasses as well as smart glasses in the market.

Sometimes glasses are enough to hide your true identity.
We as a human species have evolved to judge when we meet someone for the first time quickly. And what you wear on your face can sway your first impression so much. It can give hints about your hobby, personality, and a lot more.
Ideation is not limited to how it will look, but also what features it should enclose, and how the entire system will work. The following demonstrates the process of developing ideas for aesthetics, features, system structure, and, user experience.

1. About Anthropic
In the world of Chat GPT and Meta's AI, Anthropic is an AI safety and research company based in San Francisco. For now (OCT,2024) they offer limited information and products, including their AI model Claude.
Though Anthropic has stated that they are creating a reliable and beneficial "AI system" so I took the liberty as an industrial designer and imagined Anthropic's AI system with both hardware and software products.

Users and the general public can be worried and reject the idea of AI and smart wearable devices tracking their lives. I believe this will become less of a problem as people get used to AI and wearables but it is important to approach with caution with generation 0 products.
Most Advanced Yet Acceptable (MAYA)
Often, in the world of technology, the most advanced stuff is not the best stuff. Like the case of two Harvard students and their demo, even though there is technology to identify random people off the street just based on the public data online, this approach will make the general public despise the product, keeping the technology from its full potential.

Windows Recall
On June 18, 2024, Windows announced a new feature 'Recall' with their latest OS, Windows 11.
Recall automatically captures the user's screen and uses an AI assistant (co-pilot) to help users search for information in the future. This new feature faced huge consumer pushback as they worried about their privacy eventually making Microsoft recall the Recall.
Harvard Student's Demo
In October 2024, two Harvard students demonstrated how they could dox (stalk people using online resources) random people using Meta's smart glasses with a camera.
This demonstration stirred up debate and concerns about smart wearables with cameras and surveillance on people with advanced technology in general.
Google Glasses, Segway, and Nintendo Virtual Boy were products that all failed as it ignored the MAYA principal.

To ensure the privacy of users and the public, sensitive functions like personal identification will only be done on devices (glasses and phone) without sharing it with 3rd party or external server.
Clearly communicating the boundaries will be the key to gaining trust among people. 1 Vision's flagship feature, Remember U AI, will not actively gather a person's information by searching online, it will only be able to remember information that person gave during prior conversations with the user.
